Does anybody have any ideas why a Continental E-225 might overheat? The owner had flown the airplane with no problems, then several years ago, the problem started. He flies infrequently. The plane has a fresh oil change. It seems that several of the intake tubes are loose at the cylinder heads. The mixture cable is getting full travel at the carb...stop to stop. It has a newly rebuilt oil cooler (which didn't help). There is corrosion on the cooling fins. Timing has not been checked yet. Are there any other rocks that need to be overturned?
